Creative Manager
Lightship is a Clinical Trial company that partners with biopharma, CROs, and academic institutions, to provide flexibility for research delivery. My role was that of Creative Manager.
CHALLENGE: Recruit for an adult moderate to severe acne study utilizing social media, print advertising and events.
After reviewing the study protocol for the inclusion / exclusion criteria, in this study the focus was on adults with moderate to severe acne. I needed to show people with the indication but didn't want to to show to graphic images of the indication which could be off-putting and runs the chance of Facebook flagging them. Doing research I found out that the 18-30 population was the prime age bracket for the indication, also confirmed with the sponsor (pharma company behind the study). I gathered photo options and developed copy options. From here, I put together the Ad Materials Proposal that would be sent to the sponsor and IRB (review board) for approval.
The ad materials proposal was entirely laid out in Adobe InDesign. I utilized master pages and style sheets to keep everything uniform as well as making global edits much simpler and time efficient.
These are just a few pages from the 40 page document. Sponsor names, protocol numbers and study descriptions have been omitted.
Lightship's specialty is reaching potential participants by meeting them where they are, utilizing their Mobile Research Units (MRU). These will be parked at events, festivals, conventions where interested participants can easily screen for the various studies.
To help with brining attention at the events I created a series of double sided roll up banners. These stood at 80 inches tall, and were created in Adobe InDesign. The QR code at the bottom would send the potential participant to the Lightship scheduling page. The placement of the QR code was debated but ultimately was decided that having it at the bottom made it easiest for everyone to scan.
The landing page was developed using Adobe Photoshop and Figma. The end coding was done in a program called Prismic. The page allows potential participants to view and RSVP to the various events being held for the study.
Below is a sample of Facebook ads used to promote the acne screening event Lightship attended. Ads were created completely in Adobe Photoshop and managed through the Meta Ad Manager. After the ads went through the learning phase on Facebook, it was founthat the two ads with the orange backgrounds and the one with the green performed the best.
While at the events flyers were utilized to give to potential patients if they want to think about joining the study later on or if they know someone that might be interested. The flyers are designed in Adobe InDesign with the use of Photoshop.
